Focus Group

Since I have started researching for my Final major project I had come up with two ideas that I was manly focusing on, once I got to college we were able to gather together in a Focus Group for gathering all our ideas and having a chat about what we think of each others ideas and what we can add on to each one. I learnt that talking about your ideas help a lot more to understand what you can do to your learning, Having feedback allowed me to understand that my ideas ended up to only using the one idea, which a lot of people seemed to have liked the idea which made me feel even better about this project then I was feeling before since I felt that I couldn't figure out which idea to do and if I had the skills to di it. I believe that some struggles I may have is trying to find more research about the project on Social media, and trying to write my own spoken words for the video. I find that this focus group was a very important thing to do today since some of the peers didn't have a full idea on what they wanted to do for their FMP. It helped them get a little idea of what they could do since hearing everyone else's ideas and feedback to see what they could improve on. I can improve by focusing more on now actual idea and use the feedback I got given.

My next steps will be

1. Research more into social media, old documentary's, powerful videos, movies for inspiration.

2. Start to write the spoken words for social media by knowing what social media is, the emotions it causes.

3. the proposal for FMP.

In this documentary/short film type of video it was a inspiration for what I would do for my video. Having a storyline put to my social media video. Having someone voice over about what social media can do to people and life. I wanted to make this type of video since it had moved me in a way that I wanted to move the audience when they watch my final video.

This documentary is full of interviews with peoples views on the fear of missing out of a lot of thing which I thought was a good idea for the subject of a video to show that people do fear a lot of things towards social media. The idea of having people being interviewed came into my head and I went straight ahead with researching some questions to be answered.

During my research for ideas on what video to make other then documentaries I did think of making a short film as I have seen many short films like this one for instance showed a lot of cool effects that were edited in and I felt that I could be able to make my own script and direct a good short film.

Seeing so many dangers in social media it helped my research a few facts that could be used for my video. I felt that this was some good inspiration because it moved me in a way that had me thinking I could do this for my project making me feel like I would achieve a good mark.

Generation documentary was a documentary made by a GCSE student about the rise of social media, being a college student In media and seeing other students work on the internet gives me a idea of how well and easy it is to just make one video for a project, Giving me a inspired thought on what I could do to make my project amazing and very media perfected.
